Anonymous asked: I also do the thing where I cant spend money on myself. I feel SO guilty. Yet I have a load of money saved up. I cant spend it because I think Ill need it in the future or something. HELP.
Oh deary, I know exactly how you’re feeling! I wish I could offer you better advice, but this is something I seem to have grown out of (without noticing haha, you only just brought it to my attention) in fact these days I’m probably the opposite, I’ve been spending TOO much. Um, it is a hard habit to break, perhaps try starting by “treating” or “rewarding” yourself? This is how I started, I bought myself a lot of new clothes and things when I finished the HSC, justifying the spending through “I’ve worked so hard, I deserve this” and after that I began to realise Hey, you know I LIKE spending money on myself sometimes. I like buying myself new clothes, and sometimes I need things like new make-up or jewellery, etc… So gradually I began to feel as though I didn’t need to justify my spending anymore, I usually just ask myself first whether I will use (whatever it is) and if the answer is yes, then I buy it :) You work hard for the money you save, so life is too short not to enjoy it and treat yourself! I hope this answer was a little bit of a help. As it turns out I’m actually shopping tomorrow haha! Let me know how it goes my dear :)
Distancing myself is seeming like a good idea right right now. I shouldn’t have waited this long
